New Roads and Infrastructure
President Barack Obama Parkway and Grand National Drive Overpass
Samuel B. Ings was responsible for getting the road built to ease traffic off of Kirkman Road and Metro West Boulevard to Conroy. He had the road built and named it Pres. Barack Obama Parkway. Future plans include taking Pres. Barack Obama Parkway north to Pine Hills and Old Winter Garden Road.
Grand National Drive Bridge is Economic Spine
This overpass provides connection and future connection for the shopping districts and theme parks on International Drive. As a result of the I-4 Ultimate Improvement Project, the road was expanded as an overpass crossing I-4. This overpass connected the hotels on one side of the overpass to the theme parks and shopping districts on the other side of I-4. The overpass has an area where pedestrians can walk across the overpass, making it a safer area for both residents and tourists.
Samuel B. Ings repaved the entire Bruton Boulevard from L.B. Mcleod Road to Columbia Street. Raleigh Street from Kirkman to Ivy Lane is next to be resurfaced and developed. Samuel B. Ings will resurface, redesign and improve more road ways once he is elected Mayor of Orlando. Samuel B. Ings held several town hall meetings regarding new traffic patterns.
International Drive Improvements
Under Samuel B. Ings’ leadership new improvements were made to North Idrive Road way widening and infrastructure improvements over $13,000,000 from Universal Boulevard North to Oakridge Road. Other improvements on International Drive include:
Adding Wider Sidewalks
